AK Interactive have had a few kits recently of civilian and support vehicles in 1/35, Toyota FJ42 Land Cruiser, VW T2, Unimog, Land Rover Series IIa SWB and Dodge Power Wagon.

They've announced a 1/35 M1008 CUCVin a couple of guises, shouldn't be too difficult to get a Chevy K5 Blazer out of it. Bit of a run on Blazer kits with Revell's 1/25 Stranger Things tie in.

It might go well as a Terminator style resistance technical.

I like those very much
The prices tho when they get here will probably change my mind .
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

It's nice to see someone doing the "forgotten" service & support fleet.  And, as a little trivia CUCV keys were the most duplicated set of keys in the National Guard.  Everyone had a pair.

As a follow on for the 1008, if you don't mind some scratch bodging, there's the M-1010 four litter ambulance and scratch up an S-250 shelter to put in the back of an "M-1028"

Given AK's tendency to do a lot of variants of each vehicle type in "batches", I wouldn't be surprised to see them on the shelves in the not-too-distant future.

Almost right for conversion to a slot racer.  ;D

Er, perhaps not on 2nd thoughts!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Why not?  The addition of a "smoke unit"  from a 00 gauge steam railway engine and the right sort of oil and you could even produce the smoke haze and revolting smell of a Trabant as it bumbled round the track.  Hyper realism!!

Too late, you've said it, committed! ;D  ;D  ;D  A Trabi slot car would be awesome to see.

They've got a lot in their range that might be suitable. VW T2 slot racer in 60s flower power scheme during it out with the East German Polizi Trabi??? Land Cruiser & Land Rover Technicals battling it out???

That would be hilarious to see!

Did I ever mention an old friend of mine who had an East German Polizei Trabant?
Sadly he's no longer with us but I clearly recall turning up at his house to see several oddball ex-Communist vehicles in his yard including this Trabi in green and white. Certainly not a pursuit vehicle, more of a Panda car  ;D
He even had an AK47 to go with the Border Guard uniform which he wore one New Years Eve to perform his own traffic stops in his little Devon village.
