Quotewaiting outside after the show, Mrs W commented on a strange man with grey & purple hair & a rubber duck. I corrected her that it was a chicken...  ;)

QuoteI don't know if the party responsible for the collection (the frigging HUGE collection) of 1/48 Wyvern whiffs is a member or not, but if you are, you're one sick fuzzy bunny!  I love it!  Not sure what my favorite is, but the Wyvern/Lancaster Mistel is close to the top :)  Sick, sick, sick...

It happened just as we were leaving on Friday. I was just checking my radio in when the centre called for a first aider as I was the closest it was left to me and I got the shock of my life when I found out who it was ( someone I know well but I will not mention names) As for working on him I didn't do much more than keep eye on him and offer practical advice to his wife until the ambulance arrived. I got the biggest shock Saturday morning when he walked in to the hall. A little shaky but reasonably ok. Had another one on Sunday afternoon as well but again everything ok in the end. Mind I was that ill by that time I nearly went with him. When I saw you lot after the banquet on Saturday I was on my way to lie down before I fell down.

BTW, who won best display?  The only stand that really jumped out at me this year was the Landing Craft SIG with that incredible 1/35 LST, and only that, on their stand  :tank:

iirc, it was IPMS brampton, nev. i was near their stand on sunday afternoon when there was a fair bit of clapping, cheering and the presence of the IPMS [UK] president.

not knowing exactly what was going on i later inquired of the leader of the south atlantic SIG who is a member of that branch and she explained.

that LST was spectacular, though i also liked the IPMS wakefield's pirate display.

Radish

I thought that stand with hundreds of F-104s in 1/72nd was terrific....especially as they were made by one man.
Personally, I thought the Brampton stand was a congested mess, but I suppose it all depends on a point of view.
Well done to them though.
