Gossip - according to Trevor Snowden, there is a good chance the 1/72 Buccaneer will be back next year
A straight reissue, or can we hope for some improvements?

Doubt there would be much in the way of fixes as that costs more to produce new parts, however maybe an addon sprue with alternative pylons and weapons coupled with a new varied decal sheet would be good. Maybe includ the FAA schemes and possible Gulf War options as well as the rather dull 80 RAF schemes.

Airfix did say however that Hornby are providing them with funds that they could never have dreamed of for product development so its always possible. !

Just my luck that the first time we get given warm clothing for door duty it turns out one of the warmest years we have had I was sweating like hell. Hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did.
+ points
everything going so smoothly
made a killing at the kit swap
got some real bargains

- points
having one of my kits nicked from the kit swap
being ill and in pain all weekend
using more practical first aid in one weekend than in the previous eight years of being a first aider.
(hope everyone is recovered now)
and last but not least having to wait another 53 weeks for the next one.

waiting outside after the show, Mrs W commented on a strange man with grey & purple hair & a rubber duck. I corrected her that it was a chicken...  ;)

Don't know if a good time was had by all, but a good time was most assuredly had by me!  I wish there were more time to have a sit down with the Whiffers, but two days just isn't enough time to get it all crammed in.  Hell, two weeks might not be enough :)  I did meet several of our esteemed crowd though, so it's nice to put faces with names at last.  Telford is always a hoot.  The exchange rate made it a bit pricey for me, but what the hell.  I came home with a suitcase full of books, decals, and bits and bobs (and an Airfix Spit MkI at last!).

The Airfix Nimrod looks fantasmagorically orgasmic, as does the Canberra B(I).8.  Can't wait to see them in boxes at a hobby shop near you.

I don't know if the party responsible for the collection (the frigging HUGE collection) of 1/48 Wyvern whiffs is a member or not, but if you are, you're one sick fuzzy bunny!  I love it!  Not sure what my favorite is, but the Wyvern/Lancaster Mistel is close to the top :)  Sick, sick, sick...

:)
