I spent almost the same time as you out of the hobby. I find your points numbered above very illiustrative of what I went through coming back.

But, how much fun we lost for being out!!!

Happy modeling, mate!!!!

Looking good, Overkiller! I can't wait to see her all "tarted up" and ready for the "dance". It's great to see you're back to building again!

This Vigilant is bttb a beauty, sure

BTW: Using acetone to thin filler is a perfect idea I have used many times. The number of iterations Putty, Sand, Repeat can be drastically reduced this way.

You can never go wrong with a Viggie! I'm glad to see you back to glueing plastic. Beware: building models is fun, no matter how long you've been away. ;)  :D

Looking good.

Primer and Klear/Future were the 2 discoveries that more than anything else enabled my models to leap from abominable to average.

Have fun at the show, and we'll look forward to pics soon then.

Sounds like this will be a good one.

Hmmm...makes me want one in SE Asia, black underneath, and a couple of GBU-15s hanging from the wings a la RAAF.

Be more like a straight A-5C since that was a cleaned-up version of the A-5B, at least according to the Ginter book on Vigi's.

Be glad to do some cooperative info sharing with you since I plan to do at least a KRA-5C and a EA-5D as well as a good A-5A.  Beyond that, I've got a few ideas.  I'm very, very tempted to try modelling a vg testbed with J79s as well as a NAR-349 with three engines.  Of course, as Alivs has pointed out, CF-105 wings fit very nicely on the A-5 fuselage, too.

Looking good!!

I spotted cheap Airfix Vigilantes at Bolton but didn't get one. Wished I had now.
But there'll be more to buy soon at Milton Keynes (Happy Birthday MK  ) and Huddersfield.

Wow! You're the Anthony p of A-5 Vigilantes! You and Elmayerle have tons of interesting projects around the A-5...
King Arthur: Can we come up and have a look?
French Soldier: Of course not. You're English types.
King Arthur: What are you then?
French Soldier: I'm French. Why do you think I have this outrageous accent, you silly king?

Well regardless I would rather take my chance out there on the ocean, that to stay here and die on this poo-hole island spending the rest of my life talking to a gosh darn VOLLEYBALL.
