On mine I found the Italeri Spitfire Mk V engines (which come separately in their kit) didn't take much fettling at all. Even less if I could cut straight lines  :banghead:

I was going to suggest using a Spitfire nose

The Spit might have worked, the Defiants definitely didnít!

My Westland Wirly-Wirly TF.III  used Bristol Hercules Engines.  It was decidedly easier than you'd think.  All that was needed was a little widening of the engine pods and a slight lengthening of the undercarriage legs to make it all fit.

OK, it's done. BPF markings, flying from HMS Indefatigable in 1946

This was one of this project one wishes one had never started! The resin nacelles are beautifully moulded but are definitely not for a Whirlwind!
If I did it again the Kestrels would be working perfectly (it's a whiff after all) and the 4-blade spit props would have their own spinners!
I assumed that the Mark III would have moved to sting-hook, which strikes me as more practical on the fuselage.
Or not.....

Neat.

Best use for the Pavla two stage Merlins, because as moulded they're too short for a Mosquito.
