Absolutely badass.

Now, who gets to do the USMC version with LGB's and the big gun???

QuoteMeow ! I like it ! Very well done, and beauty paint. I liked the story as well.

The front whell looks funny, tho...almost backwards ? Sure changes the shape of the old bird minus the cannon, or is that just how crappy that kit is ?

Cheers !
As weird as it sounds, the cannon barrel is tiny. It's actually smaller than the diameter of the sprue. I have a Hass A-10 and I used it as the basis for my comment about accuracy or lack of.
Now mind you, I am and always will be a Matchbox fan. But things like that were very odd. But worse than the cannon was the engine mount. Each engine was seperate and had a bump where the strut that the engine mounts on get flush glued on. The strut was divided into two long flat peices. Then they were flush mounted on a bump on the tail. It was just like building a limited run kit, the kind where there are no alignment groves or tabs etc.
That being said, I'm pretty sure this was the very first incarnation of a scale model A 10 so some slack need to be given to Matchbox for the job they did. The wing tips look excellent, the tail appears right, the Engine pods would be simply great for wiffery and so on.
Hey! Your right! I just had a look at the nose wheel and I think your right, the wheels are ahead of the oleo! I set it up that way becasue of the cat bar that was sticking down. I assumed it was right. Wow, the things you miss when your focused on other things. (wing folds)

And now for my next trick... cat juggling!

Oh that is sweet!  I've been wanting to do one too.  I've got the 1/32 NA/W kit that might look good in Navy markings.  Folding wings would make for more shelf space too!
