1/72 Hawker P.1103 to F.155T - continued from original thread

Now, obviously, anything I say regarding my modelling intentions can be quite rightly taken with a shovel-ful of salt..... But I am actually building the Sea Vixen as I said I would, I just got distracted......

Anyway, I started a thread here regarding the Hawker family of supersonic fighters that stretched from the P.1103 to the P.1121 and beyond. Recently, whilst waiting for glue to dry on said Sea Vixen, I stupidly had a look at where I'd gotten to with this... Oops..

What I've gone and done is basically draw the entire P.1103 (bar some of the missile proposals which will come in due course). As I type this I've got the first trial print to check shape and fitment of everything. Now, this is probably the most difficult one I've done thus far. The shapes around the inlet were very hard, and took a few days and multiple scrapped and restarted efforts. The undercarriage also needed some artistic license. But we're somewhere close. Certainly close enough that a blind man would be happy to see it. As I proof read this I've noticed I still have the air brakes to do. All in good time I guess....

That looks extremely interesting!  I'm probably not the person to build it (My builds are usually overtaken by continental drift) but I'm definitely the person to applaud the individual who does!  There's almost certainly a decent backstory or two there, just waiting to be uncovered.

I really like this aircraft, and I can sense another addition to my stash from the Machina Models stable in due course    .  I have done one of these from another 3D printing source, but it's primitive to say the least

Making the extremely fair assumption that any variant of this that Stuart produces will be superb, I'm looking forward to it already.
