The British Army had come to the conclusion that they too needed a fixed-wing gunship along the lines of the  AC-47 with turboprop engines. Fortunately three aircraft that took part in Operation Downfall were owned by SJMcColm Engineering Limited, two still flying at airshows.
The non-flying 'Douglas Barder' would go on to be the mockup for the Super Gremlin T.

The 1/72 Douglas Gremlin 'Douglas Barder' which will be used for this kitbash along with a newish fuselage from the Conroy Trimotor Turbo which I tried to build but both landing gear legs have snapped off..

The AA Models Conroy Turbo Dakota now has a pair of mini-guns taken from the Douglas Skyliner Gunship I think that they came from the AC-119 Stinger kit.

I have glued the two fuselage halves together and added a pair of mini-guns at the rear past the cargo door.
