Spitfire mk.Vb Floatplane - Siege of Malta

Having just built a real world Malta Spitfire in Dk Med Blue/Light Med Blue that's what I'd go for.

Nice! 

Panel lines were a thing, you can either go manic & sand them all off & re-scribe them, or simply sand them all off, or go for the vintage aesthetic & leave them as they are.

I've added my first layer of paint. It looks like I've coloured it in with a whiteboard marker at the moment,  but it will obviously improve with more layers.
Seeing the Spitfire seaplane in this colour gives me all sorts of ideas about a post WW2 Schneider Trophy race

Well this week has gone much quicker than I'd have liked. I've now painted the underside, spinner, props, exhaust etc. I've got to neaten up the paint, add the decals AND weather it tomorrow 😬

The blue seems to vary massively depending on the lighting 🤔

I'm almost ready to put the decals on this evening.

Need to look for good light for photograpfy. The last one^ looks pretty good to me. The others are reflecting strong light that hides the blue.
