Hmm, apparently I can't do the Avon show (That'll be the first time EVER I've not been!  :banghead: ) for some pre-planned event that I'd not been told about before............ :(
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

Oh dear Kit! Me and Richard should be there. I will have to take my long winged prone pilot Meteor.

QuoteDear Model Club,

A warm welcome to all clubs coming to the show, and a special welcome to clubs and individuals displaying for the first time. The show is nearly here, so here is some useful information about the show.

SET UP
Saturday
We will have access to the halls on Saturday afternoon from 1.00pm to 5.00pm. It will take about 2 hours to set up all the tables, so if you're thinking of setting up your display on Saturday afternoon, you can do so from 3.00pm.  However, you will have to be finished by 5.00pm. All items left will be at your own risk.
Sunday
The leisure centre will be open from 7:00am. The public will be allowed in from 9:30am. Please make every effort to set up before then.

Passes.
Wrist band passes which have been requested on the booking form for attending club members will be available from the entrance foyer in hall 1 on Sunday morning.
One member per club to collect the wristbands for all their attending club members and then distribute them to their members accordingly to allow them free entry.
The wristbands will allow you re-entry to the show during the day.

Chairs
If your club will have a lot of members attending, it is advisable that you bring some extra fold down chairs.

Under Table Sales
We are continuing the policy of allowing each club ONE box for under the table sales. Thank you all for adhering to this rule. So long as it is respected, under table sales will be allowed. Please don't abuse it or under table sales won't be allowed at our show in the future.
If you have large amounts of models and associated items to dispose of, you can sell them through the Bring & Buy sale located in hall 1 which is similar to the Kit Swap previously seen at Scale Model World. Application forms can be found on the show page of our website.

Cash
Most traders will take card payment, however there are a few private traders selling off their stash who will only take cash, so we advise you to bring some. The Bring and Buy sale run by Lincombe Barn Wargames is also cash only.

The nearest cash machine is about 15 minutes' walk away at the Tesco Supermarket.

Competition
We run an open competition at our show. The competition will be in the Severnside Suite which can be found upstairs in hall 1, accessed via the entrance lobby.
Entries will be on the day, details of competition classes can be found on the show page of our website.  https://www.ipmsavon.org.uk/shows.php
All entrants will get a raffle ticket, and prizes will be drawn at the same time as the competition prize giving.

The prize giving will take place at 3:30pm at the main entrance to hall 1.
I always hope for the best.
