My cars and other vehicles

Whilst the Ford Capri has it's own page, I thought about grouping my vehicle builds, toy cars and diecast models.
In my day I had Dinky, Corgi and Matchbox diecast model cars to play with, as my stepdad would bring home a new model nearly every week. They ended up down the sofa or back in the box and put on a high shelf where I couldn't reach them. I wish that I had kept them as they would be worth a small fortune but alas they were put into the local jumble sales and never seen again.
This will be an ongoing process

Do you restore or leave the diecast model cars in the state that you bought them playworn?
Some could be sentimental so they are best left alone whilst others could do with a new paint job.
The first nine are a mixture of real and whiffery, so in no particular order they are:

Dinky Toys Meccano Ltd Austin 1300 171 in a metallic blue, the bonnet/hood opens and the engine hasn't been tampered with, the boot/trunk opens as well. It has rubber tyres.
This will be left as it reminds me of the 2200cc that my stepdad used to have.

The Triumph Lynx was what I was trying to create with the red body shell but if I had bought the Matchbox Dinky diecast model Triumph Stag 1969 the white TR7 might have looked a lot different but I kept adding parts to it.
Whereas the 1/32 Airfix Triumph TR4A with a bit of styling can be turned into the Triumph GT4 Dovetail. The purple one.

Two diecast AC Cobras. The red one is Masito Cobra 427  1/24 scale. I have added my own wheels as one was missing and it didn't come with a windscreen.

The green one is by Revell which is slightly smaller in size with a different engine, also missing the windscreen but has side exhaust pipes.

Old Police cars never die, either they are preserved or are converted.

The playworn Corgi Ford Zephyr Mk2 Motorway Patrol Car. If you wanted the five door estate then you had to get Abbott to do the conversion.

Another Corgi Motorway Patrol Car was the five door Rover 3500, also playworn but is being transformed into a three door hatchback.

For something built in Italy then look no further than the Jaguar XJ 4.2 Saloon which was also used for Motorway Patrols.

They were R/C battery powered.

There's something sexy and powerful about the Nissan Skyline GT-R. I think that this is the 1970 Nissan Skyline 2000 GT-R First Generation.

Another Nissan second generation E51,2002. First facelift Elgrand.

The white Range Rover Sport. I'm not too sure if they produced a Ute version so I have sliced off the rear and added the hydraulic crane to hide the gap behind the crew cabin. Seems to have worked out rather well.
