Must admit the first time I saw kangaroos in the wild I was suprised just how scary and almost pre-historic some of the males looked.  Only ever seen them in zoos before.

Also, a big male red kangaroo can stand up to 6' tall (in the stance below) & will intimidate most people who come face-to-face with him.
