When I got my best friend's model collection after he passed away, one of the kits he had was an old Lindberg 1/400 scale HMS Hood model kit (Picture below of Hood in white box). According to Scalemates, the release of this kit was in 1974. It is Kit # 763M.
Now if the white boxed Hood is missing any parts, I suppose I could take parts from a second reboxing (2000 year release) of the Lindberg kit (More colorful box with red and blue) and add those to the white boxed kit.
So...........what do you think the white boxed version might go for?
Modeling isn't just about how good the gluing or painting, etc. looks. It's also about how creative and imaginative you can be with a subject.
My modeling philosophy is: Don't build what everyone else has done. Build instead what nobody has seen or done before.

I can't help with the price I'm afraid.

But yesterday I was on HMS Belfast with my model club. A fellow member and his dad were there, and his grandad/dad served on HMS Hood 1936-38. They had his photo album of a Mediteranean tour in tiny black and white prints. One of the pics was of Graf Spee in harbour near Cannes. This chap had also wangled a flight over Gibraltar in a Fairey III

Check sold listings on eBay for comps.  But only the sold listings.  Asking prices for old kits  often aspirational.  And I think it's been recently re-issued.
