Dayton, Ohio airshow

My wife and I with another couple who are long time friends of ours went to the Dayton airshow today. What a wonderful time we had! We got there early so I could rent a scooter for the day which, considering my hip is still in recovery, made the whole thing possible. The list of aircraft is long but on display was a USAF B-52, C-5M, C-17, C-130J, 4xT-38, 2xF-22 and 2xF-16. A US Coast Guard C-27, A civilian airliner type with an organization called Samaritan's Purse. A Corsair, P-51B Mustang, P-38 Lightning, 9xT-34, a DC-3 in American Airlines colors, 2x Navy T-45, a USAF MH-139 Grey Wolf chopper, a US Army Blackhawk, 3xMiG-17, a Cobra and a Huey giving rides, the Blue Angles and many others.
Of course the Blue Angles were fantastic as were the several other aerobatic displays. But if you ever get the chance to see an F-22 Raptor display, don't miss it! You will see an aircraft do things you never thought possible! Photos and video do not begin to do it justice. Plus the Raptor did a very nice display alongside a P-38 Lightning. We will try to get back to the show tomorrow but it's calling for rain.
There will be a huge photo dump on Tuesday when I get back home. We are stopping at the USAF museum outside Wright-Patterson AFB on Monday so more pics from there.

The greatest threat is sunburn and spending money.
Between our friends and my wife and myself we will have a huge selection of photos. My wife's phone camera took much better pics of the flying aircraft so I'll be using those.

The Coast Guard aircraft is a HC-144. The C-27s are being replaced by new C-130Js.  Pics on Tuesday!

Wasn't there a joke doing the rounds during covid that the Red Arrows  should be reprimanded for not maintaining sufficient 'social distancing'?

We also got to watch the Blue Angles crew and pilots do the routine where they all march out to the planes. Impressive!
