After the hassle meeted out by the current heatwave, causing me to withdraw from the OP Downfall GB, I've been giving some thought to the whole GB business itself, from my own point of view of course.

I think I'll be giving them a miss in future, I don't mind moderating, as I'm already down for the SAR GB, but actually building something to a time frame doesn't really gel with my current retired and laid back life style, so that's it I'm afraid.

I'll be building what I want, when I want, and if it's cool enough too!

Fully understand Kit, I have sat out a few GB's when I knew life was too busy or the theme was of lessor interest, but I came back refreshed and hope to do the ones that inspire me.  I have found one submission per GB helps. Retired life is pretty great!

The phrase "between the wars" has always amused me slightly. We all know what it means, but if you look at the amount of conflicts that took place, some major, some minor, between them then it opens up a whole new series of scenarios.

I think the only continents to avoid conflict were N.America and Australia ?

In geopolitical terms North America is considered to include everything from Greenland down to the border of Panama with Columbia, and the Carribean.
The Mexican Revolution period ran from 1911 to 1938, plus there's the US interventions in Central America in the '20s and '30s etc.
