I am wondering, seeing that you mentioned the use of AI, if that was used to have the propeller blades spinning when the aircraft was in flight. If so, that would account for a lot of the pictures having four propeller blades rather than three.

Yes, among others, and I left it that way. It was impossible to tell the bot to use only three blades. Usually I either modify the model with a metal eaxis, so I can let the prop spin freely for the pics, or edit them manually. But the Hasegawa F4U only come with a pin on th eengine block to hold the peorp, and I did not modify that innth efirst place because I was uncertain about the cowling and the relative engine position.

Some pics were enhanced in quality and an improved background, one or two were complete accidental new composings (airfield scenes with a higher point of view) which I kept because they looked quite plausible and added depth that I normally cannot create with my photography setup. None are completely generated anew, though, all have a "real" picture basis.

It was not a complaint, just an observation. It looks good regardless. You could also have changed the back story to say that there were two different propeller options as well, depending on the sub variant of the engine, or something like that, if you had wanted to as well. It's great work anyway, Dizzy

I did not understand it as a complaint, anyway. After all, generative A.I. is a highly debated new tool with dubious roots, and I see that it devaluates many arts and skills, including photography. But since I work with it in my job it's worth trying out the possibilities and boundaries. It's like the WWW "revolution", when everyone thought that books would be obsolete in a few years. Now reading or learning is on the fringe...

Well, that was the original inspiration - but it took quite a different road, at least story-wise!

I should've gone back and read the whole thread but i haven't had much time lately and went straight to the finished product from the unread posts...   
I did recognize the -5 cowling...  i guess i gravitated towards that idea when i saw your model because it's something i also want to build although what i have in mind will look different.
