Round Two of the 2026/2027 GB Subject Poll - pick up to 2. The top 2 will go through to the 2026/2027 GB Season

The Luft'46 80 jarhe GB. As the Luft'46 theme turns 80 this year, why not? There have been a lot of new Luft46 themed kits the last few years,
The Chris's Choice GB - I choose the subject, and I set the rules (no-one else gets a say). Apparently I put a lot of work in and perhaps this would be my reward ? Suggestion by Zenrat
The Sci Fi GB - A proper anything goes Sci Fi GB. Not limited like the lunar vehicles/spacecraft GB.
The Desert GB. Terestrial or non-Terestrial
The Operation Unthinkable GB. The Allied Planning to Cover an Attack on the Soviet Forces in Eastern Europe 1945/46
The Search and Rescue GB (anything to do with search and rescue )

Quote from: Weaver on June 08, 2026, 01:09:08 AMI don't know, but I dare say there are other active members who don't do GBs who also don't vote.

Almost certainly so, and likewise there are undoubtedly other members who have no intention of taking part in GB's but still vote on the basis that they would like to see what others ideas end up looking like.

Does it matter ? No

Personally I've taken part in very few GB's over the last couple of years because the subject matter has been of no interest to me, I'll set everyting up from the Call for Ideas to the organising of the Threads, and does that bother me ? Again No.

GB's are part of the Site and are there for members to share a common theme, enjoy other members views on that theme and perhaps to enjoy the challenge to finish a model within the three and a bit months. It's all about fun and enjoyment.

I'll shut up now otherwise I'll have to go and stand in the corner for the rest of the lesson

Because of my rant above and respecting the principle of freedom of reply I'll call this vote a day on Friday coming (12/06) as I'm travelling tomorrow.

What rant?

You just expressed your point of view, as did everybody else, in a perfectly reasonable way.

No rant detected.

Ah, but I have to be far more careful about what I say then the rest of the membership, because of wearing the Moderators Hat.

It depends on the delivery.  Picture Chris shouting, thumping the table, and having a toothbrush moustache and its a rant.

Does anybody picture him any other way?  ;)

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Yes, despite our best efforts to persuade him it was just a passing fad that would never catch on, he did eventually learn to write with a pen and paper. Black day...

'Progress' can be a disappointment, sometimes...

And yes, I did vote with the intent of *maybe* building something, but as stated by Chris, more of an encouragement/inducement...
