Round Two of the 2026/2027 GB Subject Poll - pick up to 2. The top 2 will go through to the 2026/2027 GB Season

The Luft'46 80 jarhe GB. As the Luft'46 theme turns 80 this year, why not? There have been a lot of new Luft46 themed kits the last few years,
The Chris's Choice GB - I choose the subject, and I set the rules (no-one else gets a say). Apparently I put a lot of work in and perhaps this would be my reward ? Suggestion by Zenrat
The Sci Fi GB - A proper anything goes Sci Fi GB. Not limited like the lunar vehicles/spacecraft GB.
The Desert GB. Terestrial or non-Terestrial
The Operation Unthinkable GB. The Allied Planning to Cover an Attack on the Soviet Forces in Eastern Europe 1945/46
The Search and Rescue GB (anything to do with search and rescue )

Dinosaurs could fit in Sci-Fi, Desert or Search and Rescue.
It all depends on your scenario.

Have a herbaceous dinosaur eating your local ginkgo trees. It would be just what they are used to.

Is anyone else just a bit wary of whatever Chris may inflict on us after all these years suffering as GB Mod?

Yes.

And Yes...  ;)

Thanks for your efforts wrangling cats, Chris.

Quote from: kerick on Yesterday at 11:13:42 AMWe need more voters to break the tie! Come on folks!

Why?

The top two subjects go through. It only becomes a problem if there's a 3-way tie at the top of the pile.

Although, more people getting involved would be nice.  ;D

Well I do know and I was going to suggest it as a possible GB anyway, but held back.

Doesn't look like you get it now anyway, but I will let you know what it would have been after the vote  ;)

I must admit I find the Sci-Fi concept difficult to grasp. Sounds easy when you say "Sci Fi" everyone knows what that means, right ? Then you find out it's not as easy as that, as there are a few different views as to what constitutes Sci Fi, I know mine is probably a little basic to put it mildly   The Lensman and similar.

As an aside we had a Sci Fi GB back in 2017. So I need to go back and look at the rules/discussion if it gets selected.

Chris let slip to me that he was going to suggest a Crystal Palace GB...
 ;)

Almost anything can be Sci Fi.  A Sopwith Camel can be Sci Fi if it's strafing the Greek trenches at Marathon.  That's why it'll be a good GB subject.

So can a B-1 at Normandy, or a Nimitz-class carrier off Hawaii on 6 December, 1941.

I know, but I've always struggled with something going backwards in time as being Sci-Fi, purely personal. Sci-Fi to me is set in the future and involves space travel and things from outer space. Very simplistic, but then that's the level of sci-fi I read. As I said the Lensman books etc.

Well until the last 12 months Palace lifting silverware would have been sci-fi  ;)  ;D

welp the high orbit ONeal stations have had the nick name  " Crystal Palace " for a few years, and there is at least one kit of them out there.   :banghead:
