So fuel sources aside, although the Veg Oil Diesel is a thing that might be a viable option for a while. Yes in the logical world, Fuel for these monsters is a real problem.

I wonder how many litres of biodiesel you could make per hectare of canola (rape)/olives/peanuts? 

If it's enough, then areas like the SE of South Australia & other areas where they grow a lot of canola (or olives, or peanuts) could become valuable pieces of real-estate.

Did they buy it at an auction at the mason's lodge?
When I picture the big block Dodge Steve is describing the primer coat is barely covering the cop paint and the door badge and lettering can be still be read.  I'll build it one day.

Spatter patterns from those spinning blades would be interesting.  Although how much actual liquid blood is there in a zombie?
Maybe the zombies could be rendered down into fuel?

Hmmm - moonshine as a fuel additive, to increase the octane rating... wouldn't work for a diesel, but for gas, could be a thought.

Internal combustion engines can be run on pure alcohol.  Hill climb and IIRC speedway bikes used to be run on it.

Don't Indy cars run on methanol?

They certainly did do in the recent past, and it was always an issue when they caught fire as you couldn't see the flames!
