Just can't help but wonder what ship it might have flown from?

Yeah, that one caught my eye too.
It would have needed a very big ship!

Great to catch up Fred, well done on the Woody.

I can report that the Steam Landship scraped in with a 3rd, making me a 3rd rate modeller  ;D
A couple of other RW models did a bit better.. 2nd rate modeller in those genres.

If stats is your thing, 760 Models entered in Comp part by 256 Entrants. Some 10 clubs with stuff, so easily over 1000 models on display.

Best in show was a ship, very nice.. but I don't think anybody here needs to see yet another Bismarck.
But I will put this up.. it floated my boat and anybody who is a Fallout Fan might get it.
Terrific and imaginative Vignette.

All those involved with running shows will probably feel the same as me. Great to get it up and running, terrific to catch up with people.. but really, really glad when it is over  ;D

The red Me 163 turns out to be PK+QL of Wolfgang Späte. It was the plane that flew the first Komet combat mission.
Whatever.

Thanks for the pics Fred

The finish on that blue Ferrari is absolutely stunning

Just looked, out of interest, and there's a bloke selling a Do-18 and Matchbox Walrus on UK E-Bay for £96  :o
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Best of show for me was this Black '53 Chevy.  It's a really good build with glorious straight black paint and superb detailing.

Ouch.  I feel a bit better now about what I paid.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.  Revelling in numptytism.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed, badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry.

And it's a six too, most unusual in that sort of model.

And as you say, SUPERBLY done.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Thanks, Fred - all interesting shots.

I like the 'Doctoring the Tardis' diorama - very imaginative.

The Chev 6 is unusual, as you said, Kit - nice to see some Love for something that's not an '8'...

Perusing your album, I like the very imaginative base for Gollum - nice out-of-the-box thinking.

The F-100 with F-8 nose (?) is interesting, too.

And my Daily Driver this month is a turbo-five!  ;D

Well, that's a bit different...
