The Wooksta!

Need some car body filler and my go to is Isopon P38.  I'd normally get it from Halfords but there's a car accessories shop round the corner attached to a back street garage, so I popped in there on the off chance that he stocks both it and the Hicote range of rattle cans.  Turns out that he stocks both.

Anyhoo, buys the filler, £6.99 for 250ml.  Think it's the same size tub I got for the Ju 390 build.  Checks the Halfords website for their price - £12 for the exact same product. HOW F****** MUCH???!!!!!!   How can you justify a 40%plus markup other than corporate greed?  I will NEVER buy anything from those robbing b******* again and I'd advise anyone else to do the same.  They can enjoy carnal relations with their mothers before they get a bent washer from me.

Exactly.

They had some sort of an internal revolution a while back, when they stopped selling their excellent (and Hycote manufactured...) paint, and since then their prices have gone up like a Saturn V, or should I say an Artemis.............

Halfords used to be my go to shop for the excellent range of car spray paints (which don't go anywhere near a car!).

I stopped using them about a year back when, the first thing I noticed was a near 50 - 60% price rise.

I just walked straight back out again. Now I use the HiCote range.

Hycote paints ARE the old Halfords paint range. Halfords bought their original paints from Hycote but with their own labels and cans etc.

They shot themselves in the foot with their 'new improved' range which is impossible to decode too because they don't use the car manufacturer's paint names or colour codes! Even the Halfords staff can't figure them out.   :banghead:
