That is what I have come to realise. So if Chris or another moderator can move this build to Aircraft, please, as I am not going to finish this in time.

I had to take a break as I was going dotty. It probably would have been easier to paint the upper surfaces in green, and then paint aluminum squiggle lines over that, but me being me, I have to do it the hard way and paint the patches of green by hand, probably at least twice and maybe a third time in places. At least it keeps me off the streets.

I've always done it that way as well.  I feel I get a better result as it introduces variation in the distance between panels that you don't get if you do it the other way.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed, badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry.

I have decided to work on the second boxing of this kit as well. I am using my mistakes with the first build to reduce the number of problems I have encountered so far. A few more pictures to take once the glue is dry, then I will update.

In this case, practice makes perfect. I had followed the instructions in the first build by fitting the cockpit and nosewheel bay into one fuselage half prior to fitting the two fuselage halves together. The results were not spectacular and went unnoticed until I started to add the upper surface camouflage.

The kit I had bought also had the decals for another boxing of the kit. On writing to AZ Models, they were kind enough to send me a set of the correct decals for that boxing, free of charge. I have now bought the other boxing and decided to paint the first kit in one of the schemes from the second box, as I thought I may be able to finish the build by the end of the Group Build, which I didn't.

Haveing the second kit, I decided to build it to a better standard than I had the first. The first build is not being trashed or anything other than finished. If I take it to a show, it can easily sit near the back of the table so the mistakes can't be seen.

To that end, this time I have glued the fuselage halves together before adding the nose wheel bay or the cockpit.

There is a slight lip on one side, which will be hidden by the undercarriage doors and/or filler, depending on where the door is in relation to the slight gap.

I have also removed the ejector pin marks from the inside of the engine nacells so that the trunking can more easily fit.

This has been followed by assembling the nacells.

Which need some cleaning up before I fit the trunking. The instructions would have you fit the intake and exhaust bullets to the trunking and then fit these assemblies into the nacelles.

More later once I do more.
