In one of my books is a picture of a Messerschmitt P. 1110, which because of it's likeness to the Saab Lansen, was painted up in Swedish camouflage and markings. This gave me an idea of what to do with my lansen kit.
The aircraft was yet another golden find by the ministry of Axis Acquisitions when the second World War ended. Stood amongst parts for several other aircraft and covered in an oily canvas tarp was an aircraft like nothing they had found previously. A futuristic jet plane that rewrote the rule books. The aircraft was designated as a nightfighter, but the space in the nose was empty, just the formidable 30mm cannon were fitted, all four of them, and their ammunition. The engine looked to be complete, but could not be started, so the arduous task of dismantling and transporting the aircraft without prying eyes from both the Americans and the Russians seeing it. The wings were removed and tucked underneath the fuselage and the tail from a damaged JU88 was allowed to stick out of the back of the tarp wrapped around the aircraft, in a bid to throw the wrong eyes off the prize.
The kit is the two seater Heller saab lansen, the build wasn't too bad, but the paint was a pain to do. Paint kept leaking underneath the masking tape, so I ended up hand painting without tape to clean up the leakage. What you can't see in the pictures is the sharks mouth under the nose, as in one of the documents, the engineer in charge of the aircraft said the aircraft looked like an Arctic shark he saw in a museum.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Simple and effective - looks disturbingly plausible.  ;D

I looked at several different luft 46 type aircraft for the colour scheme inspiration, and it was originally going to be black grey with small lighter grey randomly shaped blobs on. I wasn't sold on that once I had painstakingly applied it, so that got covered over. It would have looked a lot sharper if the tape hadn't leaked through though. Thanks Chris, much appreciated
