Once I had a Stuka, I was petrified
Kept thinking, I would soon be joining all those who had died
But then I spent so many nights
thinking how we got it wrong
and I grew strong
and I learned how to get along

Somehow I'm back, from the BoB
I just walked in to find you here writing an epitaph for me
We needed Db 601s
We needed folding gear for speed
If we'd known for just one second
We'd have Spitfires on our heels

So now I'll go, go to the East
Join Barbarossa
And turn this famine into feast
They said that we were getting obsolete round here
