I wish I could get pre-shading to work! $:-\$

I guess I just put too much paint over the top of it but, if I don't, the coverage doesn't seem to be right (no matter which paints I use).

Those rusty exhausts (?) are MOST impressively painted.

I get what it supposed to do, but like you, never seems to make any difference. I have come to conclusion, it appears to work best (if at all) on subjects like grey fast jets. I get better results with post shades on armour.
I think I am too heavy handed on top coats as well.

On the tiger, that is working out very well, nice work
