If it helps,  there is a Lichfield Illinois  and a  city of Lichfield in Staffordshire.  The Lockheed Lichfield is therefore a possibility.

Collected last Monday another printed Calvin & Hobbes set, to be assembled for my Sister at Christmas.

I started cleaning them up yesterday, and before I knew it, they were basically assembled to the undercoating stage...
don't know how that happened, but it was productive, anyway.

The swap and sell area of the Ballarat NNL was very disappointing this year.
I had a momentary surge of excitement upon spotting a Revell boxed PB4Y-2 Privateer only to have that surge quashed by the $70 price tag (the rest of his kits were similarly priced.  I didn't see him sell a single one).
It wasn't prices that put me off though, it was the selection.  There was a bagged Revell Breguet Atlantic for a reasonable price which I told myself I would buy if it was still there when we came back from the pub after lunch (or if Brian twisted my arm before we left) but when we returned the seller had already packed up so he didn't get my money.

I did get;
Revell (nee Matchbox) Heinkel He 70.
Hasegawa Weapons set III - Air to Air Missiles (the one with all the different sidewinders.  Unopened and only $5! Bargain).
Both 1/72 natch.

Also two sets of Lazy Modeller 1/25 flame masks.  One for Revell '30 Fords and one generic small car set.

Possibly the TINIEST item I've ever bought for a build! 

After waiting some weeks for the various postal 'authorities' to get their acts together, I finally got a 1/144 scale IFR probe for my C-133C Durham build.

It's about 1 mm in dia. maybe less, and 12 mm long! The packaging is about 300 times as large as the item!!!

A waste of time posting a pic as you'd not be able to see it.

Arrived from Amazon today, one of those 1/144 3D puzzle Hercules C-130H. Panel lines that would give the Matchbox mad trencher a warm glow, but doesn't look too bad still. Now, to whif or not to whif

Is it definitely the Matchbox kit, as Revell reboxed the vastly superior ICM kit?  If it is the Matchbox kit, be aware you are in for a whole world of pain.  It's a really horrible build.  The one I did a few years back languishes unfinished.  The decals are nice though.

It has inline and radial engines.  So definitely ex Matchbox.  What was the problem?
