Sukhoi T-4 & T-4MS

In 1963, the Soviet government held a request for proposal among the aircraft design bureaus. The Sukhoi design, with its high cruise speed of 3,200 km/h (2,000 mph) was favored over the designs submitted by Yakovlev and Tupolev and after a preliminary design review in June 1964, the building of a prototype was authorized. Development of the T-4 required massive research efforts to develop the technologies necessary, including the manufacturing technologies to machine and weld the materials necessary to withstand sustained Mach 3 flight. Nearly 600 patents or inventions are attributed to the program.[2] The first flying prototype was finally completed in the autumn of 1971. Work continued on an additional three airframes (one for static testing) through 1975. In 1974, the Ministry of Aviation Industry (Soviet Union) ordered work suspended on the T-4 project, which was officially scrapped on 19 December 1975.

Designed to rival the U.S. B-1 bomber, the Soviet T-4MS was a revolutionary aircraft featuring variable geometry wings, cutting-edge fly-by-wire systems, and a payload capacity of 45 tons. Despite its promising design and advanced capabilities, political rivalries and production challenges led to its cancellation. Explore the story of this ambitious stealth bomber that could have changed the Cold War.

Superb stuff there Tom, I didn't even know the T-4MS existed till I saw your version!  :o
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.  Revelling in numptytism.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed, badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry.
