Those of you who are old enough, or obsessed as is my wife with watching this series over and over on MeTV, can come up with your own lines for the other characters.

It started as the Revell 1/35 MASH "Swamp and Jeep" set. This includes Major Houlihan, Hawkeye, Radar and his teddy bear.  I laid glued tissue over the tent to make it look like canvas, found figures for Colonel Potter, Ferret Face, and BJ, and bought a figures kit for the "lady" with a 5 o'clock shadow, hairy legs, and impressive beak.  I I also added various details from kits and railroad detailing sets to to make it more visually interesting and similar to the actual set.

Nice, and a good job.
Haven't seen one built before.
Ah, memories...

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Ah, Mash.  I can always watch a few episodes to pass the time.
Her name is Corporal Max Klinger.   ;)

I bet very few of these have even been built and collectors are right now wailing, gnashing their hair, and tearing out their teeth.  Excellent job.  Well done.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.  Revelling in numptytism.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed, badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry.

All I can hear now is the 'MASH' theme music running through my head!

Complete with fleets of Bell 47s whapping around overhead!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

They were made to be built.  I'm looking for the companion set, which had the bus, BJ, and I think a nurse.
And there was also the helicopter model, of which several can be found the E site at any time for a variety of prices.

Great job on this kit!

I bought a couple of the Bell 47 kits.  The first kit had a badly warped tail boom and I turned it into a coax helicopter. The second kit is going to have the boom rebuilt to scale. There are no good Bell 47 kits in 1.35 available now (at reasonable prices) MRC had a version which was better molded but harder to build.

If you can find it, there was an article in FineScale Modeler where someone rebuilt the 47 - including a new boom.

I never knew there was a bus kit...

Turns out not the bus, rather an M-34 6 wheeled 2 1/2 ton truck with an acceptable Klinger, two generic figures meant to be Colonel Potter and BJ, and a patient on a stretcher.

There are also models of the ambulance trucks used on the show, though not MASH specific.

As for the bus, it'd have to start with finding the full size model they used, find a model, and build an entirely new interior.  Probably not, but maybe someday.

I did that exact same thing with my 35th Bell 47 Rick..made a new tail boom out of styrene rod ..far better than the half round that Revell used .
