You mean 'Networking' and 'Cross-Pollination', surely? Or 'Sincerest Flattery'...  ;D
'Convergent Evolution' is another which springs to mind... ;D

Oh, no! I can't write that!  :o

Honesty decrees that I must state that what I am doing is absolutely "shamelessly stealing ideas"!

We'll have none of this euphemism nonsense

Fair enough   - we get enough of that from the 'Fools on the Hill', after all...  :banghead:

Like it - I may have to 'Tribute Plagiarise' the saying...  ;)

Looking good ! Love builds where the opportunity to add greeblies is never ending. I like the first pic of the real machine.....all those wheels and tires in the front, including dirt bike tires ! I'll have to go search for what bikes they used.

So an update. Pretty much, less the wheels which are a work progress, the end is nigh.
The Australian Bar Tread Tyres for the land Rover were a bit different to some Rover wheels and the kit wheels are not even close. So using a very, very old mould, which is producing some rather average and shoddy resin copies, let see.

Overall, pretty much this is it. Went ahead and build a more elaborate Roll Bar and stowage cage.

The round bits are the spare wheel carriers. I decided that mounting on the brush bar would compromise cooling a bit, even though there is plenty of pictorial evidence saying it was quite often done.

To the paint shop next.. after I put on the wing nuts for the tool clamps which the pictures told me I had forgotten. And the Antenna mount. That too

Build up some webbing to be used as a bit of stowage

And the side mounted water jerry carriers.. So not really finished at all.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.  Revelling in numptytism.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed, badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry.

Very nice work so far Raff mate
Nope not raff ..Brian ..twas a very tiring day manually changing upper trailing arm bushes  on a Nissan Terrano ,,soon as another set arrive i'll do the lower .
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

Progress shot of the paint work in progress. Pretty much only now waiting on a set of decent wheels. The rather tatty copies on it are place holders for the a much better set.
That will be it for a couple of weeks, pending the wheels.

Its bench mate at the moment is the Airfix 1/35 GS Cargo truck. A positively spiffing kit, easy build and looks great. The cargo is a load of 3D printed resin 4 Gallon Flimsies in the transport boxes.
Calling this one done.

Coming along nicely, BT!

Good to hear the GS is a nice build, as I have one (?), maybe two (?), floating around the stash.  ;)
