Diamondback

"Status board" post on the '27 Century updated with latest developments. Now it's largely "find time and do the work."

Diamondback

An annoyance mitigated. There are no decals available for the Plan 3523A 6-3 sleepers used on the Century before 1928, and the only one I'd previously known of available wsa the Atlas ready-to-run release of Durer, which is hard to find, overpriced and has some dubious engineering changes for the "drop onto track" crowd.

HOWEVER... it turns out that another Century car, Michelangelo, was in the very first Branhline kit release. So was Brahms, a "pool car" built without assignment to serve as a spare for high traffic, bad-ordered cars down for repair , seasonal service etc.  Combined price for both close to the asking on Durer. Problem solved..
