References is easy Womby.  First get a big ziplock bag.  Next put in the instructions for all the kits that made major contributions to the build.  Finally print the backstory from here along with any construction photos you may have and stick all that in the bag as well.

I have it on good authority that the judges rarely open the bags, they just check to see there is one and then tick the box for "reference" on the judging form.

I've heard of someone putting a (possibly blank) CD-ROM on the table as the 'references', so...

Steel Penguin

cut and paste, to fill an A4 sheet in different sizes and fonts " all work and no play makes jack a dull boy" and  add a picture of a fire axe ? in with the pack just to see who pays attention?
the things you learn, give your mind the wings to fly, and the chains to hold yourself steady
take off and nuke the site form orbit, nope, time for the real thing, CAM and gridfire, call special circumstances.
wow, its like freefalling into the Geofront

Well, I'm taking 14 builds, 13 of them for "Display Only" & one for judging because the only reference material is the box it came in, no instructions, no photographs ... & the Whif aspect is something everyone should comprehend without references (see below):

Day 1: Over 300 photo's taken - just under 300 survived the cull.

A few teasers;

Enjoy! I did!  :thumbsup:

Hey, Nausicaa! Only the third one I've seen, and that includes the original one on SFM and mine.

Not seen a built Airfix Beach Buggy before, either.

A Caddy ambulance - original, not ECTO-1.

The Franken-Beetle is cute.

The most complete set of built 1/76 Matchbox kits I've seen, outside of their catalogues.
Actually, it seems like all of them.

I can just about hear that F/A-18 screaming upwards.

Fred's Tinydyne, too.

And the Replacement Blues Mobile! "Well, Thank You very much, Pal!"

I recognize a few of your creations, Guy - nice to see them on show.
Including the old Tracker amphibian conversion.

Thanks for those, Guy.  :thumbsup:  :thumbsup:

Not my Tinydyne.  That looks like an OOB build of the Airfix kit.  They've made a good job if it.

AMT released two versions of the Caddy Ambulance recently.  A surf wagon and an ambulance.

Good pics Womby.  Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Guy, these were great, looks to be a fairly reasonable turnout.
Recognize a few from your hand and some others, like in the Animal category.
The Apocalypse Tank looks pretty cool as well, knowing what a great kit is to start with.

Thanks for the compliments on the photo's!  :thumbsup:

Surprising, really, as my usual Nikon Coolpix 510 was giving me grief (& I think it failed to save about a dozen photo's towards the end of the morning) &, in the afternoon, I forgot to fully switch my Canon EOS 1100D fully over to auto focus* for about the 1st half hour.

[*: It's a 2-part operation, whereby I have to switch the camera to "auto" & the lens as well - I forgot the lens  :banghead:  - Hey, it's been a while since I used it! OK?!  :rolleyes: ]

I sit corrected.  ;)
But yes, a nice rendition. :thumbsup:

Found the lost photo's!  :thumbsup:

They, plus photo's of the competition place-getters, are now in the SmugMug gallery.

Here are a few of the place-getters to entice you in (again);

Cheers!  :thumbsup:
