After literally DAYS of masking and sealing and spraying, and the use of miles of masking tape and acres of tissue, the paint job on the Super Sealand is done.   ;D

It's not gone too badly, there a few spots where it will need trimming, and two where it could need s re-mask and re-spray, but they're not visible on this view, naturally.........  ;)

It's difficult to see but the engines are NMF and the wings are pale grey, but they look very similar to the lens. The hull undersurface is NMF too, and lots of it!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.  Revelling in numptytism.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed, badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry.

Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

Smart scheme, and well executed - the time spent was worth it.

Hopefully it'll look even better with floats, wheels and decals.

I've got to draw up the latter first though...................  :-\

Got all of the fiddly painting bits done now, and she's ready for the decals, but.............

My new trackball, bought only last May, has developed a fault in its RH button, which doesn't work worth a light, and doing my decal artwork with only the LH button is a TOTAL PAIN!  :banghead:  :banghead:

I've sent a rude email to the sellers, but right now the Sealand job has come to a halt. :(

I need to look into making my own decals. Is there a thread on here ? Or a good place to start ?

Strangely Kit it wasn't to long ago that i had to hunt down a new mouse ,,my fav Logitech one finally gave up the ghost and i wanted another one ,,its big,,very comfy to my knackered right hand and then i found one  :o  :o
For $239 smackers  :o  :o  :o
So no i didnt get that one ,,thats for sure ,,couldnt believe the price of the thing ,,so i got anoher one made by a company called Nacon ,,it was many times cheaper and i'll admit ,,i like this as its fully ajustable to different hands,,you can chance weather you want it to be left or right handed and its heavy ,,happy now
Hope ya have better luck with your replcemant  ;D
