Culinary Combat Commando

Hi,
Sorry for the really late start on this.  I got tied up by another build I was working on as well as some personal/health issues. 

My original idea for this build was going to be to try and 3D print a figure.  But since I am getting such a late start I decided to instead try and modify an existing figure.  Aftersearching arouns last week I decided on the ICM 1/16 Delta Force (Mogadishu 1993) figure as a base for my conversion.  On the one hand he has a kind of really dramatic pose that I wasn't sure would be right for my idea, but after thinking about it I thought that maybe it might give my conversion an "over the top" feel to it.  As such I placed an order with Squadron and got the kit today.

For the most part the kit is a fairly simple build, though the actual painting will probably be a challenge.  In general my conversion will use most of the stock kit, but I intend to;

• modify the figures helmet into a "chef hat"
• add a bushy mustache (just because)
• put a kitchen whick in his left hand
• put a skillet in his right hand
• add an apron
• figure out a suitable camouflage

Considering one of the cooks in my old Army National Guard battalion (the former 50th Main Support BN.  Like Kit and his Best Controller in the RAF daughter, I know I've mentioned them before), was a former Ranger, I find this mildly unironic.
