So I have bought the 1/72 Hasegawa Kawanishi H8K2 Emily flying boat and blanked over the large fuselage windows, removed the guns, reversed the middle gun turret and added a new nose.
I have a V-tail which I will use and cones from a Lancastrian conversion which I will use at the rear end depending on which one fits the best.
The instructions are easy to follow but my brain has other ideas. Keeps heading towards the Shorts Hythe or Sandringham with turboprop engines.
Some of the parts fit rather well whilst others don't, I haven't detailed the cockpit just added the floor.
Work has commenced on the wings as I got woken up by roadworks, resurfacing the A206 nearside lane heading towards Woolwich Arsenal Southeast London.

The V-tail didn't work so I have changed it to the tail fins from the 1/72 Grumman E-2C Hawkeye. I'm going to use the original propellers as I don't have anything small enough in my spares boxes. The T56 turboprops have been turned upside down to fit  I have used the maintenance stairs to the engines and modified them to fit. The wings aren't straight and I have somehow managed to get them to pointing upwards.
The outer floats are glued on.
PSR to commence over the weekend.
