Ok, so it is actually the Border Models Apocalypse tank, which in some form or another comes from the same Command and Conquer regime
I am a fan of the Tiberium Wars part of the game franchise, so I want to put my version in that setting as a GDI vehicle.
Frank has done a terrific build on this..Apocalypse Tank

Forgot to take pictures after finishing the assembly.
So to use Franks picture to get the point over as this looked exactly the same.

The kit is snap together and the parts fitting is mightily impressive, really do not need glue. But I did on some parts to get a snugger fit.
Doing this fully out of the box, had to remove the absurd raised soviet insignia on the glacis plate though, filled and textured with Tamiya putty
In a brown undercoat

Closer to the GDI Colour scheme

I chose not to use the choppering things on the front.. because.. really !

Thanks team,

Full day on the bench and almost done.. aside from some clear fix ups needed

I have to say, for a snap together, the fit is awesome, plus it really helps with taking stuff apart to paint
Now progressing to get it on a base. After the fix ups of course  ;)

Coming together very nicely, BT!

I really love the camo you've picked - great job and the shading and detail painting are outstanding. This was such a fun kit to put together and modify.

Nice! Back in college I was toying with building a Siege Tank from StarCraft... the world's first self-transporting PC case. LARGE scale model outside, fully functional gamer rig inside - the killer was finding a way to make the space between the treads big enough to accommodate a high-end motherboard while still keeping the whole taco-bar narrow enough to fit through a standard 30" interior door.

Still wish I could get a kit of the Order Anubis fighter from Freelancer...

This is cool!.  Anyone do it in 1/72?
The Leng Plateau is lovely this time of year

very cool Brian! Its a meaning looking tank, aye. I haven't played C&C for over 20 years.
I have the Grizzly tank from the same line and its pretty cool. I started it by applying that same texture of Tamiya putty and glue but got as far as one panel before the smell got to me - well, more accurately, the wife smelled it and subsequently, I had to take it outside. It was raining, so it went back in the box and hasn't come out since.

Great build Bri 👏 👌
Love the camo paint job and it's a clean job too 👍 👍
Now I can see this model clearly I'm surprised to see T-72 drive sprockets and road wheels from a T-80 prototype...im loving a bits bash build some manufacturers come out with . ;D
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

As someone who played the originals, I look at these photos and I can almost hear Frank Klepacki's "industrial" music, particularly the German drill instructor screaming orders in Hell March.
