1979 Jaguar XJ-S prototype ++++FINISHED ++++

The kit is from one of the 1/24 Revell Snapfix range depicting 'The return of the Saint '. I have gone for the minimalistic approach, only painting the front indicators. The production model would of had repeater indicators on the sides and a multi-coloured rear tail light cluster. The door mirrors and door handles would have been in chrome with badges to match.
I say prototype as it has coloured-coded door handles and wing mirrors, with a clear rear tail cluster, coloured light bulbs and what appears to be a middle rear brake light which was fitted much later in the series.
On second thoughts I don't think that the door mirrors came from the Revell kit, as the shape is wrong for the Jaguar XJ-S.
I haven't detailed the V-12 5.3L engine with the automatic gearbox or added any chrome trim. The interior glazing is tinted.
