Ordered a GWH C-130H online ( it has the modern set of props for the upgraded H, which I though was pretty cool ) And I just picked up the Academy C-130J at the LHS in Windsor, ON.

From Model Expo on Monday.

1/35 Hobby Boss M4 High Speed Tractor.  Towing Long Tom, for the purpose of.  It has rubber band tracks but I have an inkling a set of individual links for a Stuart might be made to fit.  But first, I shall see if anything can be done with the left over Panzer IV track links lurking under my bench.

Italeri Gotha Go 242/244.
2 x Airfix Vintage Classics Bristol Bulldog.  $10 each.  I bought them for the transfers.  These join the bagged example already in the stash.
Hobby Boss UH-1B Huey.  Can't have too many Hueys.
Valom Polikarpov TIS.  Yes, I know, it's a Valom kit.  I swore off them after I tried to build their Lockheed XFV.  However, this was cheap and looks good in the box art.

And three more kits for my Hasegawa "Box Art & Font" collection.  All alternate versions of kits I already have.  All cheap.  I'd been wanting to build another Hun, Thuds are always welcome, and the Aussie Hornet had been proving hard to find.  So
Only the Thunderbird tail markings are on the transfer sheet so should one want an OOB build of those two one has a sh*t of a masking job on ones hands.

I've got that Polikarpov in the stash, and yes it does look good   Some of the later Valom kits are reasonable IMHO, however if anyone ever offers you their Boeing XF-8B, which was one of their early releases, sue them   It's a shame because they do some really interesting stuff.

I've got one of those Boeing XF8B kits... The reviews i read before i bought it, all said good things...
I hope it's not too bad as it's a beauty of a plane and almost got the kit out from the depths of my stash recently... :-\

As I'm marooned at my 'country home' and miles from The Loft, and I can't finish the Dragon now, I had to throw money at the problem and get a kit or two from the local Hobbycraft, as you do.  ;D

So now I've got a Revell Arado 240, and two Revell Spitfires, a Mk II and a Mk V, both the latter at silly sale prices. The engines may get swapped between the three kits of course..............  ;)
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Received from eBay today

1 x 1/72 Hasagawa 01930 Limited Edition F-16F (Block 60) Fighting Falcom. The differences between this kit and the much more available F-16I kit are a few sprues. Q and V are in the I kit, and W and M are in the F kit. I am sure that some of the parts may only be applicable to the F version, so I may buy some more I kits in the future.

Arrived today from Poland, another one of KittyHawk's kits i thought i'd never be able to buy at a reasonable price since the brand announced it's demise. Luckily, Zimi model is marketing the kits in their original Kittyhawk boxes so i've managed to buy the ones i really wanted from them... and i may even buy more of at least one of those kits...

You cannot view this attachment.

I was surprised by the rather small box for a 1/48 kit, especially because the sprues are tightly packed in the small box, making them easy to damage.
I got lucky and there's only a couple of bits snapped off the sprues and there's no damage on any of them.

Y'know, that Polikarpov has echoes of the P-38 design in there... could be an interesting conversion exercise, if I had 1. a spare P-38 and 2. the interest/desire...

Fred, the ESCI Thunderbirds F-100 kit has a pretty extensive sheet with a lot of the markings on it - the trick will be to find one... FWIW, HTH

I'm not really intending ti build any of the four Hasegawa Thunderbirds liveried kits I have OOB (FWIW - Hun, Thud, Shooting Star, and Talon).  It was just an observation.
But Thanks for the info.

Today I received from evil bay a pair of 50mm ducted fans (one clockwise, one widdershins).  Inspired by Dave 63cpe, they will be modified, sanded (being made for RC/drone use they have the makers name moulded into the housing and shocking mould separation marks), and put into use on a 1/72 tilt fan something or other.

Don't let me put you off it. I may have had a poor moulding or something ? But the wings on mine were an atrocious fit , and I just gave up on it.

Maybe I should get it out again and give it another chance. Sometimes when you go back to something after a few years it just seems to go together perfectly and you can't see what the problem was

I've bought it with the intention of building it so, at least i'll try and i really hope that's the case with this kit as there's nothing else of that airplane.

Mate the M4 HST used M4 Sherman tracks ..Stuarts are far to small and annoyingly I haven't found a set of AM M4 tracks which haven't sucked  :banghead:
Now converting to P IV would be very interesting
