Looks like an impressive bit of kit. I imagine the window cleaners would be busy on that building after a liftoff.  ;D

Yep - can't find an official figure, but looking at the parts in the box I think it's about 30cm high when build.

In the mail yesterday was three lovely items in one box .
1/35th Tamiya M1A2 SEP Abrams TUSK II
1/35th Tamiya Challenger 1 MK3 ,,,the seller gave me this for free as its 3/4 built and i'll be honest ,,very nicely built too ..very very clean glueing .
..Now this isn't a surprise as i knew it was coming but it was a surprise because of the weapon it carries which i'll explain .. its a Hobbyboss 1/35th V-150 Commando with the 20mm cannon ,,i wanted this to go with my other V-150 which has the 90mm Mecar gun ..well once i got and with one thing i always do is crack open the box to make sure its all there ..i did that to this and i was looking at the sprue for the turret which also carries the armament,,, well armaments in this case cause i noticed the 90mm gun tube on the sprue along with the 20mm barrel ..then i got thinking ,,so i got my 90mm armed version and yup ,,i had both verisons already in the one box  :banghead:
Am i unhappy ? ,, nope  ;D
Nows i've got two spare weapons systems to play with which i'm always happy aboot  ;D

Got the following kit during my model club's Christmas meeting and gift exchange today.
Since I don't build armor, this will get donated to my club's model auction next June.
Modeling isn't just about how good the gluing or painting, etc. looks. It's also about how creative and imaginative you can be with a subject.
My modeling philosophy is: Don't build what everyone else has done. Build instead what nobody has seen or done before.

That's a nice win Seadude mate .. it's older than stone but super easy to build so whoever gets it's will enjoy themselves ,,, great for getting the younger model builder into armour

It's a great kit! The upper "stage" could be turned into its own ship. Both are nicely molded. The building is OK as it is. Paragraphics has a PE set for the building (which I see is considerably more expensive than when I bought the kit) that adds some antenna towers.

Favoured mod seems to be to cut out the control centre windows and light it. That makes it easy to light the rocket too, since the "umbilical" is literally made from double electrical cable.

The wires it's made from are about 2.5mm in diameter so that makes them about 87.5cm in diameter in scale. Certainly big, but not unreasonably so, given the large volume of fuels like liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen. Since those fuels and also cryogenic (-230 and -180 deg C respectively), you could also claim that some of the thickness is insulation.

That makes sense, and as you said, makes it easy for lighting.

Easier/cheaper than revamping the moulds, or making a brand new, accurate kit...  :banghead:
