:o  Where did you buy that kit? i haven't seen it listed yet, not even on the Modelsvit site.
Pre-ordered from a french distributor of Modelsvit kits ( it's a bit expensive though if we consider that the wings don't really sweep )
https://bassin-maquette.fr/index.php

Thank you!
Yes, i have to agree, it's a bit of a shame that they chose to make these kits like that... and i actually think that all their kits are a bit on the expensive side. Haven't built any of them but they do look good in the box and they are making lots of stuff that is rare to see in styrene and/or stuff that really needed modern toolings.
Before their kits, some of the subjects were only available in resin and most are rare and cost as much as their kits or more so, i guess these issues are minor and the prices are acceptable.
I guess that the war in their country isn't helping their production and distribution costs... :-\

It will appear in due course direct from Modelsvit. This batch is a pre release for Bassin as they co-operate with Modelsvit and have also commissioned the odd project here and there.

Hence why we see so many kits of the Mirage family from modelsvit.

 Makes sense, they did the same with the G8.01. I've been waiting for a styrene kit of this bird for a few years so, a few more months won't be a problem.
And BTW, i think they should keep making more of the Mirage family, including the IIING.
Maybe for some that's asking too much but they have released quite a few prototypes so, if they make the Mirage 4000, i don't think it's a crazy idea... and they should also make the Kfir and it's variants.

With theG8.01 they had a 6 month gap between their exclusive release and the Micromir general release, howver with teh G8.02 i think Micromir said its only a month or 6 weeks so should be on general release in December.

I read that on Modelsvit's post with pics of the kit on facebook today.
BTW, regarding what i was saying about their prices, if we consider that there's PE and mask set in most of their kits, the price isn't really that expensive compared to most modern kits... IMO, that is.

To tell the truth I am not too concerned by the price. Just thought it was worth mentioning the wing sweep issue.
In fact I have now the two G8 kits in the stash.

With the G8-02 the main difference is the new nose section ( needs à bigger radar ;D ).
They also added a new sprue for the 'Martel' missiles ( very finely detailed ).

I've had the G8.01 in my wish list but i really prefer the look of the .02 so, when it was announced i decided to wait and get the one i really like.

I bought lots of kits at SMW today. I also collected two kits from Jadlam. I intend to buy at least one more kit tomorrow. Now, as to what I bought, age and the fact that the items are in the boot of the car preclude me from listing what everything was. I shall do so once I get home on Monday.
