My great nephew recently got his private pilots licence and has just bought a part share in this :-

It's an 1971 Glos/Victa Airtourer Super 150, one of only 3 on the UK Register.

Promised a ride next time I'm up North and Stevens not out on the rigs.

FANTASTIC! And pass along our congratulations from the whole board! Keep us apprised of his exploits, with lots of photos.

Remember, if the reality police ask you haven't seen us in ages!
When does "old enough to know better" kick in?

Interesting control column design.  And according to Wikipedia there are 3 in military service with Bangladesh, 1 with the Royal Thai Police, and one with the Tonga Defence Services Air Wing.

Hehehehe, could be right too.  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Victa.  I have one of their lawnmowers.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Nice to see one overseas; I'm not sure how many are on the civil register here.
None left in the Air Force... still, at least they did buy 'Kiwi Made' at one point.

Have fun up there & stay safe.

And remember, as someone once said "Mankind has a perfect record in Aviation - we've never left one up there."  ;D

Going by the Tongan's I've met that has to be a single seater   ;)

But perfect for the Forward Pack... which is why some schools over here import them, of course...

True

I'm lucky enough to have been to Tonga, Fiji and Samoa. Of them all Samoa's my favourite, but the Tongan's are great. Mind you I wouldn't argue with a copper

That scheme on the Airtourer looms to be the wrong shade of blue, and the tyres are not original....... ;)

Yeah, the PC brigade hasn't made too much headway over there - you're likely to collect a smack around the ear with something or other. Old School Coppering.  ;D
