The model is a kitbash using spare parts attached to a resin bodyshell cast of the Ford Capri Mk1, concocted intirely in my head.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

[Cessna 310, Katanga, 1961

During the existence of the separatist state of Katanga from 11 July 1960 to 21 january 1963 the Force Aérienne Katangaise acquired a mottled collection of airplanes. The fleet maybe included a lone Cessna 310, that served as a staff transport for some time in 1961-62. The plane were usually based at Luanu Airfield but according to some unconfirmed rumours it were observed several times at Ndola Airport, Northern Rhodesia, in september 1961.

French Douglas D-557C in Algeria, 1962

The post WW2 french history were dominated by The Fourth Republics attempts to keep its old colonies in South East Asia and North Africa. The french airforce were at the beginning equiped with leftovers from the war, like P-63 Kingcobras, Spitfires, P-47 Thunderbolts, etc. - outdated and worn out. New planes were urgently needed. The solution were found at the other side of The Atlantic.

At the end of WW2 the US Navy decided to order the Douglas D-557C into production, as it seem to be just the right plane to operate from escort carriers, which were to small for the first generation of navy jets. The first D-557C – named A2D Sky Warrior – flew in early 1949 and after satisfactory tests were put in production. The first squadrons received their planes in 1952, and all was well. Then Ed Heinemann and his team came up with the A-4, and suddenly there were no need for the D-557C. As the A-4 entered service from 1956, the D-557Cs were flown to Davis-Monthan and stored.

That were just what Armée de l'air were waiting for. Quicly an offer were made and in 1958 the first of 120 D-557Cs arrived at Sud Aviations factory at Blagnac, where the planes were striped of all carrier equipment like hooks and catapult gear, and put into service as the Vipère. To speed up the introduction into french service the planes were left in their original blue colour.

After «le Général» - Charles De Gaulle -  had transformed France into The Fifth Republic and given independence to Algeria, the D-557Cs were transfered to Djibouti, Mali, Niger and the french mainland. The planes were taken out of service after a few years mainly due to ever increasing problems with the Westinghouse X25D2 engines.

The model show a D-557C Vipère of EC 1/20 "Aurés-Némentcha" based at Bône, Algeria, in early 1962.

FB-57F High Altitude interceptor, Air Defense Command

With the cancellation of the Mach 3+ YF-12 Interceptor the USAF desired to marry the very promising Hughes AN/ASG-18 Fire Control Radar and the AIM-47 Missiles (precursor to the AIM-54 Phoenix) from the YF-12 to a more cost effective high Altitude airframe.  The RB-57F was developed into the FB-57F carrying both the AIM-4 and -47 Falcons, and Genie missiles
