F-15X What-If USAF Fighter

I'm thinking of adding a MAWS fairing on each side of the cockpit, like the F-15EX has (although the EX doesn't actually have the system installed, they just left the bulge there for the prototypes).  I suspect that if the F-15EX gets into production then either the fairings will go away or a different MAWS will be fitted in place of the one that USAF apparently didn't want.

Got some more contour putty, which I needed since I cut into the tail of this plane and added cylindrical extensions like the EX has.  Time for some PSR...

I know, I know.  Resurrecting an old thread, but I've finally decided what to do with the F-15X.  The fuselage hardpoints will be fitted with four AIM-260A JATMs (3D-printed of course).  After that and attaching the MAWS fairings it'll be time for the canopy and decals.

Printed the AIM-260s and painted their noses.  I did six because I'm tempted to use a couple on another build as well.

 I love the fact you can find 3D print files for things like that. I did an old Testors 1/72 F-4G back in Jan and needed some AGM-88s for it. I had 2 but wanted to do a 4x missile config. Found someone who had already had a STL file and just printed off what I needed.

Was getting ready to do the MAWS fairings when I realized my darker grey paint was all dried up!  Unfortunately the local hobby shop is closed by now, so those fairings will have to wait.  I'll also need it for the canopy details.  So pending decals and MAWS fairings, here's how it looks currently.
