My second driving test fail was due to letting the clutch out to engine brake when I was in first but thinking I was in second.

I'm looking for a second hand replacement for my current car.  I'd like a manual but they appear to have sold very few.  I'd also like something other than white, silver, or black but i seem to also be out of luck there.

When you move the lever to the left from it's 'D' position you can then nudge it forward or backward to go up or down the box manually, and it works a treat. It even stops you over-revving the engine as it won't change down if that's likely and if you keep your foot in it too long it grudgingly changes up a gear to stop you bending things.

The best of both worlds really, AND you don't need a clutch so you can left foot brake too.

[Yeah, OK, that last bit will raise the hackles of some I'm sure, but I've always left foor braked with autos, since the 60s!]
That's one of the things i really like about my Mitsi Diamante Kit .. it's either a 5 speed manual or a 5 speed auto  ;D
You just push the stick to my left and it's now a manual and yes it's very much fun
Unlike yours tho this is just like a ture manual box ,,it stays in gear until you change it and the gearbox and engine have been sorted for it ,,neither seems to care within reason of course ,,no crashing of valves in my car
Also the 340hp is quite nice
Yep it's modified  <_<
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .

We'd expect nothing less...

I'm not convinced about the 'Tiptronic' boxes, I see there's more to break - but that's me, and YMV.

My 2011 Scion xB also has the auto-manual setup, not that I ever
bother using it. No reason to do so.

Does it have a clutch pedal?
Can you bump start it?
If not, then its not a real manual IMO.

Technically true matey ,, it's an electronic manual gearbox ,,the thing is in today's world even a true manual car can't be crash started is there's no signal to the engine ,, with so much being EFI if the computer is not talking to the engine then it will not start ,,old school ,,not a problem ,,today's cars ,,problem .
Hell my old 94 Mitsubishi VR4 Emerarude was a manual but ,,and we tried ,,ya couldn't crash start it cause of all the gizmos which made the engine start and run  :banghead:

That's annoying.

My current 2003 Mazda Tribute bump starts quite nicely.  I regularly let it roll back out of its park and bump it in reverse after work.

One or two of those might go well with my other CVR(T)s (Scimitar & Scorpion).
