LF 1/72 Gloster Meteor bits
« on: November 02, 2020, 06:20:09 am »
Specifically a pair of either F3 or F4 tailplanes, preferably Airfix F3 but any would do.  Scrapped items not a problem, will pay or swap.

Alternatively anyone got an Aeroclub T7 conversion kit they don't want any more?

Aeroclub made a complete T.7 (got one in the stash), not sure about a conversion ---
The Mk.III and Mk.IV tailpipes are completely different.

Apologies, should have stated 1/72.

And am after tailplanes not tailpipes.

As usual, I've got both of those in The Loft, but at home of course.

I'm not sure that Boris will let me go and get them next weekend as I'd planned.....:(

Now why did I read tailpipes --- my bad!
The T.7 is 1/72 too ---

At one stage I think they did do a T7 conversion fuselage, I think I have one at home somewhere.

But with a new nose you could build one from an M'box NF11/12/14 too I reckon.

If your willing to shell out, Special Hobby's T.71/2 comes with both early and late tails.

It's their standard T.7 kit with an extra sprue for the late tail.  You chop the early tail off and replace it with the new one, so you'll still be able to build it as a T.71/2.

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Cheers Mossie but I have all the bits bar the tailplanes to convert a Matchbox NF Meteor to either a 7 or a 7.5.  Saving pennies for Special Hobby NF11, 12 and 14!

I have the Aeroclub Mk.8 and Mk.9 conversion sets plus a couple of the Eduard Mk.8 detail sets.

Never likely to use any of them if you are interested.

Cheers Bungle but they all have the later tailplanes.  Specifically after the F1/F3/F4-style early items.

I have scrapped but perfectly useable Airfix F3 that can be cannibalised. I would be happy to provide the piece for free, but the postage is 10. Let me know.
