Started watching Space: 1999 again last year and stopped with the start of the 2nd series (simply awful). Anyway, l was reminded that my thoughts on the series when I saw it as a kid were right: Alan Carter and Eagles were the true stars if the show (even if the Eagle interiors can't physically match the exterior).

And a black/dark grey version of the iconic Eagle? Beautiful  Excellent
Whatever.

yeah, so very true! The Eagle was the only reason I watched it. I remember making a Lego version (AKA my own version) when I was 9 or 10 and drooling over the Airfix catalog wishing I could get the kit. I had to wait 30 + years before I finally got one worth the money :)
I thought of doing it in Black and red as well, but the Blacks and grey won out

Real cool model that actually got me in a web search... While this is not a search topic will someone do a google search on Nick Macarty and the Space 1999 the Expanded Universe?

https://gramho.com/explore-hashtag/nickmacarty

who not only

https://gramho.com/media/1840845215135382709 bulks up the Eagle but mixes it with

https://gramho.com/media/1884101270701231137

many other things. Apparently for a Netflix show l haven't seen and apparently hated by some already. l don't have a Facebook account and Pinterest quickly killed any joy l might have had last year with some 100 messages each week that had to be manually deleted. A new thread in an appropriate subforum with more pictures could be awesome for Eagle fans.

He's mixing Space 1999 with almost everything! :o

In a quick skim through I saw Star Wars, Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica &, I'm fairly sure, DS9, Aliens & 2001: A Space Odyssey.

And something Serenity-like, and the Antares from I-can't-remember-what, and Space: Above and Beyond.

Cool concepts.
