This build has given me inspiration to kitbash my 1/72 Airfix F-117A with the Matchbox Shadowhawk.

I'm intrigued. What do you have in mind and what is a Shadowhawk?
It's a F-117 with forward swept wings,  moveable tail stabilizers and looks like a six-pointed  star viewed from above.  Shadowhawk is a real-world twin-boom, turboprop engine at the front and rear of the  six seater fuselage.

That sounds like I pretty insane idea, I like it

Finally finished, and I still have hours to spare!

Unfortunately the F-18 decals that I purchased for this kit are the exact same color as the paint. I had to use some F-14 decals instead, so the "NAVY" is a little big for my taste, but I really didn't have any option. Like most builds there are things I wish I'd done differently, but overall I'm pretty happy with it.

If I'm not building models, I'm out riding my dirtbike

The Wooksta!

I don't go much on modern US stuff or US stuff in general, TBH, but that is quite simply superb.

The BUSINESS!

And why didn't they do that for real?  :-\
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

I hate the F117.  Such a nothing looking aircraft.
This is f**king excellent and far from that.
How do you keep your builds so crisp and clean?

Well done mate.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Finally finished
I'm pretty happy with it.
We are happy also, seeing the result!
