Another ebay win - a trio of Magna kits:
DH Hornet F1
Swift FR5 (to be another FB4/FGA4)
Polikarpov I-185

The latter was a mistake - I've an injection one somewhere and this had a firefly as the picture, so I stuck a tenner on it and realised later.  I like the look of the I-185 anyway, so I may just build it anyway, possibly in Comrade Ogilvy's markings.

I saw these and was half tempted, but then I knew I had more that I was going to build anyway and somehow I had a feeling that you were somehow the bidder !  ;D Didn't want to start a bidding war on something I didn't really need anyway!  ;D
Oh to be whiffing again :-(

I'd actually kept my bids very low - the Hornet was a few coppers over the start price, bearing in mind I've just fought that kit I wouldn't have been too fussed if someone had bid me, ditto the Polikarpov as I knew I had an injection one.  Really, it was the Swift I was after.

Ahh, but it stopped me buying them ....which is a good thing! :-D (and it would've been the Swift if anything that I would have keep bidding a little bit more on each time! )

I didn't realise there was an injection I-185 Lee. Who's it by ?

I've got the Magna one along with the other two Soviet projects he first did when he moved to Spain.

There's two actually.  One's by Eastern Express/Ark - well, it's in their box anyway.  Don't know who the other one is by.

Wise man.  I never get into bidding wars unless it's something I *really* want, but there's very few kits now that fit that.  TBH, with the availability - pause for sarcastic response - of the far superior Airfix Swift, I'd advise to go for the latter, except I'm converting it back to a fighter for the FGA role.  IIRC, the only Airfix one I've built (but yet to finish) is going in the same role, albeit as a late one with the longer nose with electronics and black boxes rather than cameras.

Just received the Cheyenne and Seamaster from Atlantis Models. Both arrived in great shape. The Cheyenne is more involved than the Seamaster but the engraved panel lines are soft and oversized. I might fill them in and rescribe, or not. The Seamaster is simpler and has very fine raised rivets and panel lines. Pretty good for 1956. These molds are older than me! Of course it also has raised lines for the decal placement but these should be no problem to remove. Pretty sure the Cheyenne will be OOB with maybe an improved cockpit. Question is just what to do with the Seamaster. Maybe the EP-6M ELINT version someone did already or a 1/72nd cockpit for an attack seaplane? We shall see.
There's someone in my head, but it's not me!

Printscale DH Hornet decals from Australia - even with postage from the other side of the planet they were still cheaper than a BIN in the UK with "free" postage.

$15 I figured I could have it.      I saw someone post a pic of the Revell kit but I looked at Scalemates and they said it was just a Matchbox kit so when the options showed up on eBay I went with the cheapest one.

From Freightdog, a Supermarine Type 327 “Shrew”
Not sure about the name though...
Guess it’ll do for the One week build.
It’s currently available for a “special price.“

Regards
Keith
The British have raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved". Soon though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross". Londoners have not been "A Bit Cross" since the Blitz in 1940 when tea supplies ran out for three weeks

From evil-bay, more "in lieu of the shows that should have been" purchases.
First of all, more glorious Hasegawa box design from 1978 (this is the first release).

Secondly another straight winged jet.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.
