Or an A129 Mangusta cockpit on an Italian bomber?  ;)

I know it's an AH-1 cockpit, but as a WW2 reference, I'm reminded of the heavily armoured and angular Hs 129 and Fw 189C cockpits.




Only, roomier than both and with much better vision, like DH took the idea and improved on it.
