Today arrived  two hobbycraft  1/72nd scale cf-100 's, from our very  own Howard of Effingham (Trevor). Many thanks  to you  sir. Both are going to be  modified,  and  in RAF  service.

Pleased to help.

As for RAF service well you are spoilt for choice for squadron markings.

Uhhhhhhhh.........

This showed up either 2 or 3 days ago. I'm just now opening it.

I have absolutely no memory of that kit whatsoever. Just shows how much of a "child of Airfix" lad I was.

That FROG Lanc was pretty late in their range before it all went TU. It wasn't too bad for its time either.
Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

It's pretty cool!!! It comes with TALL BOY bomb!   I read that (at the time of the post) it was the only Lanc kit that had one of those in it.

I've got one of those too --  Anything with Tallboys or Grand Slams I'm really interested in, My Dad served with 617 Sqn when they were using them.

On my way to my girlfriends  house this afternoon,  I  ventured  into transport models.  I  could  have  spent  LOTS  of cash in there,  just on kits for my RAF builds,  but  I behaved. Ish. I  come out with  a jar of polished  aluminium  paint,  and  two airfix kits, a swift FR5, and a Vampire  T 11. Both will be test aircraft  on loan to the weapons  test  establishment,  and  have  various  air to air  or air to ground  ordnance  hanging from them.  I am thinking  a single  or a  pair  of bullpups for the vampire,  and perhaps falcons for the swift.  I was torn between  the swift  and  the lightning 's they had, as well as rhe revell  hunter,  and the vampire . The airfix jet provost nearly got  bought too. Oops. I tried not  to pick up the several  different shackleton's they had too :-X

??????

I have NO clue why this is here. I'm not missing any orders from anywhere. I had a canceled order a couple months back and ol' boy said he lost the kit, refunded me the money, but would send it along for free if he found it. This can't be it, though, because it's a different kit and these people live in different states hundreds of miles apart.

So, perhaps this is someone I bought something before from and they accidentally printed another shipping label and sent this on mistake or something? I'm going to go through my purchase history to see if I can match up the name and location to anything I've bought recently. Strange.

Do a short-run mail campaign, if you feel the need (although email should have covered everyone).

Just don't build it for about a year, just in case someone tracks you down, though.

Once you've done due diligence (which is not contacting everybody you've dealt with over the last 10 years, but, maybe, the last 3 months) then, don't stress too much. There is a point where trying to return it becomes OCD when, in fact, it's just one of those karmic events that works in your favour.

I'm just so jealous that you have a local model shop  :-\ My nearest nowadays is probably Hannant's Colindale which is 2 hours or so by public transport and only open a couple of days a week nowadays.

Still the good old P.O. brought me an RS Models 1/72 Tachikawa Ki 94 - II. Just felt like a late war Japanese type for some reason ?

It is my easiest to get to,  but still a good  12 miles away from my house,  there's two in Bolton,  one of which is a bit of s treasure trove,  or was the last time I went in, but it can be awkward to get to.  The one in Preston is shut on a Monday,  so I  can't  go in on my way home

Well, I'd only need to write one letter.... to the person who sent it to me.  ;D  I'm going to try again today to figure out who it is, though, so I can try to contact them through digital means. If I can't, what I'll do is wait around a week or two to see if anyone reaches out to ME somehow. Once they figure out their mistake, they can write ME a letter. After a couple weeks has gone by with nothing, I'll decide if I'm feeling up to writing a letter to them to ask.
