Yellow code letters and numbers for WWII Fleet Air Arm second line stuff.  No one does any.

Post war Mosquitos and Sea Mosquitos - a set of markings in 72nd and 48th featuring the codes from "633 Sqn" could be rather fun.

Sheets of serial codes for cancelled aircraft - TSR2, Spiteful, Seafang, etc.  Plus cancelled batches of Spitfires, Sea Furies, Tempests.

That's all off the top of me head for now.

As per the other thread;
Royal Lao Air Force in 1/72 for T-28 Trojans and Douglas C-47s.
All the white numbers, naming and sponsors lettering for Porky Zartman's Filthy Forty 1940 Willy's Gasser in 1/24.
Fred

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

OH gosh... I wish there were more quality decals for 1/144 scale besides airliners... I wanted to do a small diorama of Canadian subjects (F-86, CF-104, CF-18, etc) and couldn't find anything in a decent sheet. That goes for US, British or anything else... How hard could it be for a current decal maker to scale down their current 1/72 or 1/48 subjects and do one in  1/144?

1/72 black and white union (Jack)flags or the larger scales.
I haven't been able to track down the promotional decals of that Harry Potter airliner, it would look great on a railway coach.

Oops - let's try putting that message in the right place...  :banghead:

How about car markings - specifically, the Maker's Badges, Lettering, and the Model of car - i.e. 'Ford', the Blue Oval, 'Escort', '2.0', the octagonal 'MG' badge, etc etc etc.

1/24-1/25 (and 1/32, which tends to be a bit of an orphan scale.)

My reasoning is that, even in the larger scale, they can disappear under a coat or two of paint and in the smaller, forget about trying to paint them.
I have some diecast 1/32 cars which use them, they don't look too shabby at all.

I understand you may run into licensing problems - 'ware Corporate Sharks err, Lawyers - but some generic lettering that happens to be the right Font and Size could get around that.
Or do what I saw done on a remould of the old Moon Rocket, a transfer calling it the 'Fastway Express', since TWA wouldn't come to the party...
"FLOORD", "HOLD-EN", etc, maybe.

Just some stray thoughts from Left Field.  ;)

Further to my last, what about generic Number Plate letters & numbers, in a variety of scales and eras?

1/24 or 1/25 for the plethora of civvie cars, but also 1/35 for the cars and whatnot that are starting to appear from the likes of Tamiya and Meng - even 1/48 for same?
(Some people must be wanting to turn the Citroens, Mercs and Hiluxes into straight civilian versions, whether in a war zone or not.)

New plates with the correct colours, for the old Airfix 1/32 cars to give more options.

What about signage and warning decals for Zombie infestations - maybe caution/police tape also?

General signage, street signs, motorway signs, all with a coloured background plaque that you could put your own lettering onto.
(this might work better as a rub-down style decal, though)

Something I've thought about for a while: what about a string of random numbers that you could cut a section out of, for generic registrations for tanks & other vehicles?
It's a small detail, but it would avoid every Sherman (for example) wearing one of the same collection of kit-supplied serials.
A few 'USA's or the British equivalent 'T' or whatever as well, so folk could use them with the number for something unique.

Something similar for Military number plates.

Again, something similar for aircraft - yes there are sheets of numbers, but you still have to make up your serial from separate digits - this would be a lot easier.

Just my thoughts.

Cheers

I can second the numbers thing!!! Cutting out and applying a bunch of single digits is tedious.

I can feel your pain regarding the individual numbers, as someone who, as a designer, cut their teeth using letraset but they do give you the ability to create a myriad of options.
I've just created a sheet for the Valiant with both serials for a specific scheme and individual numbers.

Granted, and I've used them on occasion, but it's such a pain growing the extra hands you need to hold everything in place...  :o ;D

Just an idea, haven't checked for a while whether some manufacturer would already have any of these decals --
Post-Taliban Afghan Air Force (or Army for treadheads)
Post-Saddam Iraqi Air Force (or Army for treadheads)
Post-Gaddafi Libyan Air Force (or Army for treadheads)
